Adding a calendar to your property

The Virtual Concierge platform includes the ability to integrate with your property's reservation calendar. This allows you to provide custom welcome messages using your guest's name.

The universal standard for sharing calendars is called iCal. It is supported by software such as Google Calendar, VRBO, HomeAway, Airbnb, and Property Management Systems. Here are the steps to add your calendar:

In the software tool where you maintain your "master" calendar, locate your iCal Calendar URL.
For Google Calendars
1. On your computer, open Google Calendar.
2. In the top right, click the Settings gear icon, and then Settings.
3. On the left, under Settings for my calendars pick the calendar you want to use.
4. Click the name of the calendar you want to use.
5. Scroll down to the Integrate calendar section, and hit the copy icon on the field called Secret address in iCal format.
For Vrbo Calendars
1. On vrbo.com, select the listing you want.
2. Go to Calendars, then choose Import & Export from the menu
3. Choose Export calendar, and copy the link
For Airbnb Calendars
1. On airbnb.com click on ‘switch to hosting’, in the menu go to Listings and select the listing you want.
2. Go to Pricing and availability > Calendar sync.
3. Click Export calendar, and copy the link.
For OwnerRez PMS Calendars
1. Reference the OwnerRez instructions for exporting custom iCal links on their website.
2. Choose the option shown in the screenshot below, and copy the resulting iCal link once configured.
For other iCal calendars from PMS systems, follow the instructions provided by the vendor.
In the VCS Portal, go to the new menu item on the left, Calendar.
Paste the iCal link ending in .ics from step 1 above, and click on the Import Calendar button.
